„Indiana Line is once again on the path of classic loudspeaker design” – Indiana Line Tesi 661 test in AV-Online magazine

„The Tesi 661 is the largest floorstander in the range, but it still keeps a low profile thanks to its unobtrusive stature and understated, elegant appearance. Inside, double stiffening and the right amount of damping material have been applied, which we’re sure to need when listening to music, because from what we know so far, the Indiana Line can really swing!”. AV-Online magazine takes a close look at the test subject.

„The three-way Tesi 661 is a bass-reflex system with its output at the bottom of the box, giving it great dynamic range. It’s 92dB, so it has a pretty high sensitivity, so they say up to 30 watts is enough to drive it, and the bottom of the frequency range is shot at 35Hz, which is quite plausible, as our previous tests have shown this Italian company to be a real frontrunner in the field of small speakers that show no mercy when it comes to bass and are really easy to bring to life, so they can excite us even at low output levels”.

Even on older classic rock recordings, the Tesi 661 performs well:

„The Tesi 661 adequately presented the power, of which we got perhaps a little more than we needed, yet we heard the subtle embellishments throughout. The bass range was excellent, so not only did the otherwise average-sized speakers show their skills, the bottom reflex port was also the best available in this category”.

The symphonic music did not disappoint the tester:

„At the end of the test, we were treated to some real symphonic music, mainly by Paganini, where the Indiana Line continued to show off its confidence, but also its speed. It couldn’t run out of souffle, but we’ve seen that before, but it had no problem following the maddening music. For the same money, you can find a speaker on the market that will give you a more airy presentation of this music, but you won’t necessarily get a performance of this depth. The Tesi 661 is able to see into that, and with it, display their structure and the whole they forge much more compellingly”.
